    The Lynx Astro 80cm Dew Heater Strap is crafted with robust materials to ensure high performance and longevity. Simply wrap the strap around the telescope tube near the optics and secure it with the integrated Velcro/elastic strap. The strap gently transfers heat to the optics until the temperature is slightly warmer than the dew point, preventing condensation.

    Will I need a Dew Controller? 

    A simple 12V Dew Heater Supply Cable can connect the tape to a compatible 12V power supply. When linked this way, the tape operates at full power, which won’t damage it. However, with smaller telescope apertures, it may cause the optics to become warmer than needed, potentially affecting the view and wasting energy. The best solution is to use a Dew Controller to regulate the heat, allowing for the use of multiple heater tapes as well.
